BDUG meetings

Yesterday's blog... Scramble as I might, I wasn't able to get my site up and running before the Berkeley Drupal Users Group monthly meeting, and I don't even have calling cards to hand out. DOH! But I did manage to 'splained that I'm making this major transtition, have been cranking away for a couple months, am looking for work and open to volunteering to get some experience and exposure.

Had a great talk with Tao and Jasper and Milo, and was delighted to have Chris from Gravitek Labs hand me his card at the end of the meeting. It's all beginning to feel real now now that my personal sphere of Drupalers starts to expand and I truly am pretty stoked up.

Still puzzling over why my default theme (color-modified garland) doesn't present as color-modified when I dump the DB over to the public site. I'm replacing the domain name in the "system" table, and the garland theme is presenting, but my color mods don't until I go to admin/build/themes/settings/garland and hit submit.

It will be the first thing I untangle after I'm done with v1.0 of this site...

I'll write today's blog tomorrow, and *then* mess around with the theme.
